Enrolling Content Creators

This guide explains how to enroll a user as a Content Creator in Moodle. It outlines the steps necessary to grant the appropriate role and access permissions, ensuring they can create and manage course content. This guide is helpful for administrators and instructors managing course participation.

 Prerequisites

Before starting, ensure the following:

  1. You have administrator or instructor access to the Moodle platform.

  2. The user you wish to enroll has an active Moodle account.


 Instructions

Follow these steps to enroll a user as a Content Creator:

  1. Navigate to your course in Moodle.

  2. Click on the Participants tab in the course menu.

  3. Select the Enrol users button.

  4. In the pop-up window, search for the individual you wish to add by typing their name or email in the search bar.

  5. From the Assign role dropdown menu, select Content Creator.

  6. Click on the Enrol users button to finalize the process.

  7. (Optional) If the user also needs grading permissions, click on the pencil icon next to their role and add the Grader role.


 Tips & Notes

Ensure that the user has an active account to avoid errors during enrollment:

  • Always double-check role assignments to avoid granting unintended access levels.

  • If you encounter issues, verify that you have the necessary permissions to manage enrollments.
